Our last concert for 2018 will take place Friday, November 9th at 7:00 pm.  Returning to Gospel With A Purpose, a long-time favorite, 7 Mile Road will once again bless us with their beautiful voices, pure harmonies and great southern gospel music.

This all male quartet travels around the southwest singing about our Lord and Savior and sharing their own life experiences.  Members of the group are: Kody DeWees, Jim Barritt, Roger Sharp and Jack Spratt.

Sharing the stage with 7 Mile Road will be their friend, from Nashville, TN, Mr. Tim Menzies.  Born in Virginia to a music loving family, Tim became a part of the Menzies family band as young child.  They performed extensively in Richmond and eventually traveled the East Coast and Canada sharing their musical gifts.  They performed as opening acts for many future legends in Country Music, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard and many others.  In 1980, Tim moved to Nashville to pursue his own career in music.  He started in a the Warner Brothers Recording Band, Bandana. In the mid 1980’s Tim began playing guitar on records with artists such as Kenny Rogers, Tammy Wynette, Waylon and Willie and others.  During this time he did a lot of songwriting and his career continued growing.

In 1991, after the prompting of his 5 year old, Timothy, Tim joined a small Bible Study group and Met the Lord Jesus Christ.  His life was transformed.  Through a series of promptings and circumstances over the past few years, Tim discerned the Lord calling him to record a Christian album.  At that perfect time, God led him to Ben Isaacs of “The Isaacs.”  Tim’s lifelong love of music, his relationship with Jesus, and Ben Isaacs gifts as a Producer resulted in Tim’s Grammy Nominated album, “His Way of Loving Me.”  It has been said that Tim Menzies’ music will absolutely mesmerize you .  We are honored to have Tim and 7 Mile Road and know that you will be truly blessed.

There is never an admission fee at Gospel With A Purpose.  A love offering will be accepted and as always, food items and paper goods will be also accepted for the local food pantries.  The doors open at 6:30 at 1807 N. Jardot, Stillwater.

It has been a great year at Gospel With A Purpose.  We are so appreciative to all who come and support this event.  We know this will be a great concert to close out this year and we look forward to a wonderful year together next year!   See you on the 9th!
